The label Sky is no limiT is led by managing director Sky Lange-Ford who is now able to look back at over 25 years of design experience: "I have accumulated so much experience over the years - from working in events management to professional lecturing at a make-up artist academy to being a selected artist-in-residence at a Shakespeare Festival in the USA. Already as a teenager I was creating fashion from everyday materials in a collective with other classmates. This project was so successful that we were invited to represent the German city-state of Niedersachsen in the world exhibition in Seville, Spain. We were cited as an exemplary school project and, as a result, I found myself giving lectures to mature needle work teachers as a young school student; I found this particularly fascinating and exciting! One might say there was a pre-existing family disposition which led me to my job: my great grandfather was a tailor, my father a studied rigger for sailing boats. I was the first in the family to pursue a degree in design. During my studies I gained my first professional experiences in the field as an officially selected young designer, participating in national conventions and conceptual conferences. I was also involved in events management through the organization of fashion shows. With these experiences it became crystal clear that I had to let my own creativity take flight."

We’ve found ourselves creating products for one of the most beautiful areas in design imaginable. The label Sky is no limiT has been around for over 10 years and it is virtually impossible to imagine the German bridal industry without us. We've established our label for brides who seek and wish for that extra special something. "To be able to adorn a bride with our original designs on the most beautiful day in her life is a feeling that cannot be topped. I feel very comfortable in the wedding industry, even if it is quite a challenge to continually strive for new designs, push limits and set new trends in this colour-limited industry," says Sky Lange-Ford. 

One of our trademarks is our hand-crafted German production which takes place in the city of Cologne located along the Rhine river. The use of only the best materials is an absolute must for us. Given our complete in-house production methods, we are also able to take into consideration our customers’ individual needs and wishes. We work closely together with specialized retailers who appreciate the ‚magic’ and quality of our products. 

 

Size is no limiT, design + wellness

Making people happy and feel good about themselves is part of our job. As part of this on-going mission, we’ve developed another label for the demands of the market: Size is no limiT. This jewellery collection takes into consideration the special wishes of plus-sized brides.  In 2010 we were asked to design a new crown for the German XXL Miss Beauty pageant. This experience and the personal exchange we had with plus-sized women showed us that having a few extra pounds should not get in the way of wearing ‚fitting’ and beautiful jewellery. „It’s a lot of fun to see plus-sized women shine and present themselves in a confident and exquisite way with our jewellery. Instead of having just those few centimeters around the neck for inspiration, with plus-sized women, sometimes I`m dealing with some wonderful decolletés – certainly a visually inviting space for beautiful and specially designed jewellery.“ Sky Lange-Ford
